FIP.01 (Widen FLR Distribution and Reduce Inflation), accepted in January 2023, distributes the remaining 85% of the FLR airdrop in 36 monthly increments to addresses holding wrapped FLR (WFLR). It also reduces the inflation rate from 10% in year 1, to 7% in year 2, to 5% thereafter. Distribution is based on snapshots of WFLR balances, rewarding participants who wrap and delegate. How do FlareDrops work?Show
FlareDrops are scheduled token distributions designed to widen ownership of FLR over time and reward eligible participants. Each FlareDrop event is based on predefined snapshots, eligibility rules, and distribution formulas that determine who receives tokens and in what proportion. If your wallet met the criteria at a given snapshot, you could claim or receive a specific amount of FLR during that drop window.
Flare Builders tracks these events historically and in near real-time, showing how many addresses participated, how much was claimed, and how tokens flowed across the network after distribution. By visualizing claim rates, concentration trends, and recipient behavior, the FlareDrops dashboard helps you see whether distributions are reaching a broad base of holders or clustering among a smaller set of addresses so you can better understand how token ownership evolves across multiple drops.
